Alexander Aurel and Danny Serrano have dropped a brand new EP on Leena Music. The Waveform Transmitter has all the info, below.

German techno sensation Alexander Aurel is back with a bang, dropping his second EP, ‘Collapse’, on Leena Music (a Mobilee imprint), alongside Spanish producer Danny Serrano.

The EP is Aurel’s second release on Leena Music, his first being his ‘Pusher’ EP, which is a funky techno banger that set dancefloors alight on release.

The title track of ‘Collapse’ is where the two forces that are Aurel and Serrano combine, to devastating effect. The track is a fidgety, bounding dancefloor destroyer, kicking off with an infectiously wiggly bassline that is absolutely certain to get asses shaking at peak time before full-on party techno breaks out and it is heads-down fists-pumping time. The second half of the track has all the energy needed to work up a good sweat.

The other two tracks on ‘Collapse’ are solo efforts. The bass in Aurel’s track, ‘Jupiter’ is somewhat reminiscent of that of Green Velvet & Harvard Bass’ 2012 smash, ‘Lazer Beams’. Melodic synth stabs work the track, and whip the listener up into a frenzy as saw-waves punch through the layers adding texture and space to the composition.

Danny Serrano drops ‘Twin Peaks’ as his contribution, and it is a snarling beast of a tune. Also melodic in nature, the track is fraught with high energy percussion, which builds and ebbs away to wonderful effect, taking the listener on a white-water journey through rapids cutting a deep path through the sonic landscape.

The EP is available on Beatport promo and is due for general release on February 3rd.
