Danny Howells to Play Glasgow Set in Aid of Go Vegan Scotland

House legend Danny Howells will be playing TUR, presented by Music is the Answer, in aid of Go Vegan Scotland. The Waveform Transmitter’s Ste Knight has the details.

It doesn’t matter how you look at it, Danny Howells is a legend in terms of house music and his involvement in the scene.

From Howells‘ humble beginnings partnered up with Tim Cross as Squelch, through his Nocturnal Frequencies mix series (released on his own Obsessive imprint), his strong relationship with underground electronic music powerhouse Global Underground, to present day and Danny‘s ability to rock any dancefloor no matter what the location, he has remained a down-to-earth DJ and producer with a genuine passion for what he does best.

Danny has strong ties with veganism and being a vegan himself it makes sense for him to be supporting Go Vegan Scotland by playing an intimate DJ set at TUR in Glasgow on Saturday, February 25th. Howell‘s will be supported by house trio The Meddling Cartel.

All proceeds from the night will be donated to Go Vegan Scotland and it comes as part of a series of events that aim to raise vegan awareness this weekend. The event also gives Music is the Answer the opportunity to showcase their ethos and give clubbers an insight into exactly what they’ll be bringing to the Scottish clubbing scene. Fair to say, they’ve set the bar high with Danny Howells.

The Waveform Transmitter managed to catch Danny recently in Liverpool, and it is fair to say that we were all blown away by his performance. Thundering through classic tracks like nobody’s business, Howell‘s schooled everyone present in the art of house. If you’re about in Glasgow this weekend you’d be a fool to miss out on this very special appearance by one of house music’s most prominent and influential figures.

In the meantime, check out this belter mix from the man himself, recorded at Boiler Room Southampton, last year.
