Talented Danish producer, Anders Ponsaing, releases his Favouritizm Records debut in May, ‘Deep Gravity’. The Waveform Transmitter’s Ste Knight tackles two Balearic tech-house beasts.

Danish wünderkind Anders Ponsaing has become somewhat of an internet phenomenon. The young producer has been making waves of tidal proportions since his remix of Don’t Tell Me No by Eva Scolaro and Steen T became a YouTube success, raking in around 1.7 million plays.

Not to be outdone, electronic music imprint, Favouritizm, were quick off the mark and secured the services of Anders for his latest EP, Deep Gravity.

The EP is a four track release, although essentially the two tracks Deep Gravity and Black Soda feature twice, once each as full-length tracks and once each as radio edits.

The title track, Deep Gravity, has certainly been touched by Ander‘s experience as an Ibiza resident. There are certain tropical, Ibizan vibes running throughout the track which summon images of the White Isle, especially where the percussion is concerned, as bongo-esque pops tease in the intro, which features a lilting, siren synth and a bassline to shake any Balearic backside.

This leads into a Romboy-esque brass-like synth lead, before we head off into a build of epic proportions, which drops us headlong into the depths of the track. Think peak time, heads-down, non-nonsense tech-house and you’re there.

Black Soda is a dreamy affair; again the Spanish island influence is strong in this one, with huge, sweeping synthetic strings building the track, as the plucked lead takes us to the breaks. Black Soda has a more tribal nuance to it, with latin percussion giving the track that Ibiza feel.

Deep Gravity is released, via Favouritizm, on May 22nd, and will be available via Traxsource.
