Positive Vibration Festival, Baltic Triangle, Liverpool – June 9th/10th

Winners of Best New Festival at 2016’s UK Festival Awards, Positive Vibration are back once again like the renegade masters that they are, with 2017’s festival at The Baltic Triangle on June 9th – 10th. The festival brings Liverpool the absolute cream of the reggae crop, and this year features performances from luminary acts such as Jah ShakaThe Scientist, and The Selecter. Prepare your bogle dancing skills.

4Mation, Arthouse Bar, Liverpool – June 10th

Liverpool club night 4Mation is back with a bang this weekend, at the Artshouse Bar. Expect to hear house, tech-house, and a hint of techno at the fortnightly event, who’s stay in the Seel Street venue is set to be permanent. There will be sets from Luuka Syence, The Kat, and Who New. Best thing about this little shindig is…it’s completely free! Yup, gratis, no cost attached, you get in FOR NOTHING. Now stop moaning and get your arse down there.

303 and FriendsConstellations, Liverpool – June 11th

303 make a nice relaxed return after the birthday party to end all birthday parties that celebrated their fourth year on the scene. Andrew Weatherall and Surgeon blew the tunnels apart over two separate events, not to mention the amazing residents who pulled some serious sets out of the bag at birthday part 2. This weekend you can catch Gemma Muir gracing the decks, alongside Samuel LamontDerek Kaye, and Neil Craven. This is a free event, so head down and (hopefully) grab some sunshine served with your Sunday music kicks.

Afterlife Official Parklife Afterparties, Various Venues, Manchester – June 10th/11th

If you’re heading down to Parklife this weekend, then you can enjoy some really quite impressive Afterlife afterparties at various venues across Manchester. Highlights include Jamie Jones at The Albert Hall, and Jacky & Friends with Waze & Odyssey at Gorilla on the Saturday. Sunday be sure to check out Hive with Nastia again at Gorilla.

Doctor P + Funtcase, The Nest, London – June 9th

The Nest are hosting the rinse-out to end all rinse-outs as bass impresarios Doctor P and Funtcase head behind the decks to swill you with some heavy bottom-end and rushing beats. Support comes from Standard & Push and Glitch City. £7 gets you in, so get on down to Dalston.

Mark Archer, Crispin J Glover, Heritage, Hare and Hounds, Birmingham – June 9th

Birmingham is in for a treat on Friday as the godfather of rave himself, altern8‘s Mark Archer, will be in the booth bringing all manner of hoover sounds to Birmingham’s Hare and Hounds. Also playing on the night is electronic producer Crispin J Glover AKA Caucasian Boy. Support comes from Will Dawson.
