With just over a week to go until his Liverpool debut, Daniel Steinberg drops in with a killer Waveform Mix to moisten your earlobes. The Waveform Transmitter’s Ste Knight is counting down the days until the Berlin producer’s arrival.
One only has to mention the name Daniel Steinberg in house circles to receive a knowing – and appreciative – nod. The Berlin DJ and producer’s reputation is one that precedes him, which is well deserved considering the quality of the productions he has put out, both as a solo artist and in collaboration with others.
Daniel‘s productions are set far apart from those of his peers. His tracks use a lot of elements that have an early house music ring to them, yet he manages to retain a freshness throughout his work that keeps it sounding ahead of its time – not an easy feat we’re sure you’ll agree. Irrespective of the nomenclature he uses (he also produces under the Harry Axt moniker) you can always guarantee that when you hear one of Steinberg‘s productions, you will be falling into some serious grooves.
Speaking of his Harry Axt alias, Daniel‘s Arms & Legs Records will soon be releasing his latest EP, 47. We’ll be dropping a review of the three-track masterpiece next week but take it from us, this one is full of Daniel‘s trademark take on the techno sound, and is definitely going to be slaying dancefloors on release.
To whip you up into the inevitable frenzy that Daniel‘s arrival in Liverpool (DEBUT ALERT) will inevitably induce, we’ve got a special edition Waveform Mix to get you in the mood for his appearance at our House for the Homeless event, which has been organised to raise funds for Crisis, and celebrate the launch of our House for the Homeless charity album.
The album is due for ltd physical release AT THE LAUNCH EVENT ONLY. Digital will follow. It features 13 amazing artists, and 13 amazing tracks, so keep your eyes on us for more news as that drops. Tickets for the event at which Daniel Steinberg will be appearing are available at 3Beat, Skiddle, and Resident Advisor.
For now, here’s Daniel in all his glory (just watch out for the killer curve-ball at the end).
