Obviously, half of Liverpool will be heading off to Creamfields this weekend. However, that isn’t to say that there’s nothing going on in the city and beyond. Far from it in fact, there are tonnes of nights this weekend for you to head down to and enjoy a good old rave.

If you fancy something on a bit of an electronica-stroke-hip-hop trip, then you really need to get down to Emotion Wave later today for a very special set by Ninja Tune‘s DJ Food. Eastern Bloc presents I/O, Eastern Bloc, Manchester, August 27th
Mancunian record store powerhouse Eastern Bloc are bringing Means 3rd and Kerrie back for all sorts of acid house madness for a Bank Holiday special on Sunday. Expect to hear that little silver box getting a full-on workout. The event is FREE, so if you’re in the area you’d be a fool to miss out on this.
West Side Story presents 30 Years of Acid House, The Mason’s Arms, London
Any dance head worth their salt will know that a 30-year celebration of acid house is worth heading down to. Fortunately for all you lucky folks down in the big smoke, West Side Story come to The Mason’s Arms tomorrow for a celebration of the sound that defined a generation.
