Electro kingpin, DJ Stingray, and Trance deconstructor, Lorenzo Senni, have been confirmed to headline a special collaborative event in Liverpool this November. The Waveform Transmitter’s Ste Knight can barely contain his excitement.
Fans of electro will know that Sherard Ingram needs no introduction. The artist performs as DJ Stingray, favouring a harder-edged take on the electro sound, pushing the style (and the BPM) to its limit.
With this in mind, it will please those who indulge in the cybernetic genre to hear that Stingray will be joining us at 24 Kitchen Street on November 10th, courtesy of a collab between some of Liverpool’s most forward-thinking promoters; Upitup, Cartier 4 Everyone, and The Wonder Pot.
Joining the Aqua Force DJ will be Warp Records‘s recent tour de force, Italian producer, Lorenzo Senni. Senni is an interesting character. His artistic aim is to completely subvert our notion of what trance is, or should be, and completely turn the style on its head by taking the foundations of the trance sound and re-building tracks from the ground up.
Joining the above we have five of our favourite “usual suspects” these being: hardware hellraiser and uber-talented M T Hall (formerly AKASA); Isocore, who will be hammering the electronics (also on live duties); our favourite bearded circuit-bender, Jacques Malchance; Big Effigy will be dropping sonic diversity all over your new trainers; and EA Moon will be starting proceedings off. Sounds great to us!
Don’t miss this opportunity to see Stingray and Senni, up-close-and-personal, for a very intimate gig at 24 Kitchen Street. Tickets are an absolute steal at only £12, which can safely be considered a bargain given the rarity of this kind of performance in the city, from a true legend of the electro scene. You can buy your tickets HERE. We’ll see you down the front.
