Dense and Pika to Hit Kitchen Street’s Wonder Pot

Techno dons Dense and Pika head to Kitchen Street’s Wonder Pot with support from Melōs’ Drumlake Experiment and Rosencrantz. The Waveform Transmitter’s Ambs Howard has the lowdown.

Kitchens Street’s very own venture, ‘The Wonder Pot’ have hit us with another class line up. The Wonder Pot’s main ethos is based around intimate and authentic gatherings.  Having previously signed established names such as; Helena Hauff, Dax J and DJ Stingray it is clear ‘The Wonder Pot’ are serious when it comes to billing artists.

Heading this event are British duo Dense and Pika, the pair met in 2002 and have since been an unstoppable force. With releases on their own label (Denseandpika) the boys have also released a number of tracks on Scuba’s label (Hotflush recordings). Their production combines house grooves, piano melodies and thumping industrial kick drums. Dense and Pika’s popular 2013 EP ‘Colt’ defines the diversity within their sound perfectly.  Expect a high energy and buoyant set, which Kitchen Street and its iconic disco ball will provide the ideal setting for.

Support will be provided by the very capable Melōs residents, The Drumlake Experiment and Rosencrantz. Melōs was founded in 2016 with the vision to restore faith in resident only techno parties, whilst understanding the importance of unobserved local DJS.

The Drumlake Experiment are one of the most unique acts on the Liverpool techno scene – their trademark “hybrid” is unlike any other. Matt Woods has a traditional CDJ set up, whilst Chris Tudor uses his live modular synthesizer, alongside drum machines to seamlessly add layers to the set.

Rosencrantz (Jack Threlfall) has built a serious reputation for high energy, frenetic and genre spanning DJ sets. With carefully selected cuts that are ensured to keep the momentum going throughout.  We can count on his selection to be top draw.

We are expecting this will sell out, a small amount of tickets left avilable at £20 + BF. You can grab yours, here.
