Albania’s inaugural festival, Kala, has announced further acts for its roster, including Todd Terje and The Black Madonna. The Waveform Transmitter’s Ste Knight has the news on further acxts confirmed for the festival.
Kala Festival has, today, made further line-up announcements for their first festival, indeed the first festival to ever take place in Albania. Combining a beat-heavy soundtrack with wonderful Albanian summer weather and scenery to die for. People talk about paradise. Well, this could well be it.
Taking place between June 20th – 27th, you can expect blue skies, sunshine, and, obviously, some incredible music, as you enjoy a festival in the European summer. No doubt that will make a wonderful change for UK festival goers, who are now well-versed in packing for literally every weather condition (mainly adverse).
Joining the previously announced Moodymann, Underground Resistence, and Hot Chip, are some incredible artists who really show that festival organisers will be bringing their a-game. Additional artists include the immeasurably popular The Black Madonna and Todd Terje. You can check out the full line-up, below.
Kala is a brand new boutique festival, which is set against a stunning backdrop; the Albanian Riviera, where the Adriatic and Ionian seas meet each other. The festival runs for seven days, and with a capacity of only 2,000, looks to be quite the intimate affair. The artists selected have been cherry-picked by organisers to offer festival goers a chance to experience a diverse range of musical styles.
Accommodation at the festival is reported to be of an incredibly high standard, yet at a reasonable price. The accommodation and festival wristband are both included in the current £245 price tag. That is an absolute bargain, if you ask us. There will be the full gamut of Albanian cuisine to get your teeth into (literally) and you can be assured of privacy, too, as the festival takes place on a private beach, open to ticket holders only.
First phase tickets are sold out, so we suggest grabbing yours ASAP to avoid disappointment. Ticket prices include your festival wristband, transfers from Corfu to Albania, and your accommodation for a full week. This is an amazing opportunity to experience a festival with a difference. You can get your tickets, here.
