Liverpool’s finest urban electronic music festival returns for its second year after a successful 2017 edition. The Waveform Transmitter‘s Ste Knight has the latest on the line-up announcement featuring Kenny Dope, Objekt, and more.
Three days of electronic music in one urban location? Yes please. That is exactly what Liverpool’s Baltic Weekender have on offer this year, after the succes of their inaugural 2017 festival. Any festival that allows me to avoid dragging a tent and five crates of cider across an impossible-to-navigate, oversized puddle is great in my book. The Weekender takes place in the Baltic Triangle area of the city, and runs across the weekend of 1st-4th June.
The festival is a collaboration between 24 Kitchen Street and Abandon Silence, both of whom have spearheaded a revolution within Liverpool’s electronic music scene, bringing some of the most exciting underground acts to the city since both were formed. Joining forces with a host of additional promoters in the city, including M62 Records, Melodic Distraction, Wonder Pot and more. You can check out the full list of promoters on the poster at the bottom of the page.
The first phase of acts confirmed for the weekend leave nothing to be desired, as the whole gamut of electronic music will be covered. With artists such as Kenny Dope, MoStack, and Helena Hauff all confirmed to headline, we can tell already that this is going to be one hell of a weekend.
