News: Electric Ibiza and Jonathan Cowan Announce Defected and Repopulate Mars 2019 WMC Parties

As we gear up for another action-packed festival season, Electric Ibiza and Jonathan Cowan Productions LLC announce plans to  partner with the Kimpton EPIC Hotel in Miami to deliver six of the biggest pool parties at Miami’s annual Winter Music Conference, which will include industry-leading brands such as Defected Records and Lee FossRepopulate Mars. Speaking exclusively to The Waveform Transmitter, Jonathan Cowan said: “After several years away from throwing WMC events I am thrilled to be back, this time at the beautiful Kimpton EPIC Hotel. Partnering with Neil Evans and his Electric Ibiza brand is also quite exciting. Neil and I go back nearly 20 years, so partnering up and working on the bookings together has been amazing. With Defected and Lee FossRepopulate Mars brand being our first announced shows I am excited to unveil the rest very shortly.

Thursday March 28th, sees house uber-brand Defected take control. Already one of Ibiza’s biggest success stories of recent years, they will be bring their unique spin on all things house to bear under the heat of the Florida sun for the first time since 2013. And as part of their 20th anniversary celebrations, you can expect an extra special line up from the world’s longest running independent house music label.

If that wasn’t enough, on Friday March 29th, Lee Foss’ genre-defining Repopulate Mars will rip open the fabric of space time to host their intergalactic pool party on Mars at the Kimpton EPIC Hotel. Anyone in attendance at their last two parties will tell you just how much fun they can be and although the line ups are still strictly under wraps, their reputation precedes them as one of the most electrifying brands in house and techno today.

“We’re really happy to be expanding the business into the USA with old friends like Jonathan (Cowan).” Said Electric Ibiza director, Neil Evans “It’s been a while since we worked together so we thought it was about time. Ibiza is so busy at this time of the year. We’re setting up about 40 Ibiza parties and with these six events it’s like booking and organising a festival really. But it’s all going very well, sales have started off amazingly and I’m just looking forward to six days of partying in March.”

Everything kicks off on Tuesday March 26th with the first EPIC Pool Party, which will be the official Winter Music Conference / Miami Music Week opening event. Yet to be announced by the transatlantic team are three more brands and the full line-ups for all six parties. And in promising a broad range of events across the entire electronic music spectrum with early bird passes to all six parties already on sale for just $100, the partnership between Electric Ibiza, Jonathan Cowan and the Kimpton EPIC Hotel is one which looks likely to deliver a some unforgettable experiences at a revamped Miami Winter Music Conference.
