Founded in 1919, the New York Daily News is one of the oldest newspapers in the United States and remains the most popular newspaper in the city. Its current circulation is 2.4 million copies a day and it is considered the eleventh highest-circulated daily in the country.

It is based in the Daily News Building, an office tower in New York City’s Times Square, which was designed by John Mead Howells and Raymond Hood. The paper also owns WPIX-TV (Channel 11) and has a radio station in the same building.
