Law Firm Innovations – What Is Law New?
The legal world is a dynamic and ever-changing place. As a result, law firms are often seeking ways to stay competitive and innovative. One approach that is gaining popularity is known as “law new.” While the exact meaning of this term can be somewhat difficult to pin down, it typically means creating strategies that have not been used in traditional law firm practices in the past. This can mean working with underserved communities, using new technology or embracing a non-traditional practice model.

The process of creating a law in the United States begins with a policy idea. This may come from a senator’s constituents, an organization advocating for the creation of a law, or from a state official. Once this idea has been settled on, it is drafted into bill form. Bills are then presented to Congress for consideration.
After a legislative body considers the bill, they can either approve or reject it. If approved, the law is then passed into statute by the federal government. If rejected, the bill is returned to the legislative body for further consideration. The process of creating a law is similar in both the Senate and House of Representatives.
