What is Entertaiment?

Entertaiment is an extensive collection of entertainment products ranging from pre-recorded music and video, to games for the individual, to performances for thousands. Throughout history, entertainment has often served a serious purpose such as a ceremonial event, religious festival, or social satire; yet the underlying concept of amusement is always present. Entertaiment has also proven itself to be a highly adaptable form, and can easily be reworked for different media and audiences. Click on a collocation to see similar examples.
