Waveform Mix Series 011: Rosencrantz

The Waveform Transmitter’s Ste Knight presents the latest edition of our Waveform Mix Series, by Liverpool techno impresario, Rosencrantz.

Rosencrantz first dropped onto our radar when local techno night, Melōs, first hit 24 Kitchen Street. Since the guys launched their event, they have gone from strength-to-strength, consistently selling out Kitchen Street to its 300 capacity – no mean feat when you consider they headline with local acts only. These guys must have the magic touch.

The Melōs collective are really doing something different with techno in the city. Picking up local talent, they ceaselessly bring the party to town, with acts including DJ/Live hybrid The Drumlake ExperimentPlayground Manchester’s Jak BarsbyRob Connor, and Rosencrantz himself, they’re well and truly on their way to cementing themselves as one of Liverpool’s most forward thinking techno events.

You will also know Rosencrantz from the hallowed pages of The Waveform Transmitter. That’s right, he’s not only a dab-hand behind the wheels. Oh no. He is also somewhat of a wordsmith, and is, in fact, our very own Jack Threlfall.

You should be able to tell that Jack knows his shit from his articles here, but if you were ever in any doubt (and if you were, then you, sir/madam, haven’t got a fucking clue) then the wonderful racket he has contributed to our Waveform Mix Series should be enough to sway you. Without further ado, here it is in all its glory. Whack the power up on the amp, this is some proper techno.
